Strong Team Set for Scottish ChampionshipsAlmost 50 Warrender swimmers will be in action this weekend at the Scottish National Open Championships in Glasgow. The competition starts on Thursday 26th June and runs through to Sunday 29th at the city's Tollcross venue. Paralympian Sean Fraser, GB Squad member Lewis Smith, and Commonwealth Games athlete Fiona Booth are just three of those ready to take their place on the starting blocks. They will face some tough opposition too, with not only Scotland's best swimmers racing, but several from England, and eight members of the French Olympic team, including 100m freestyle world record holder Alain Bernard and multiple world champion and world record holder Laure Manaudou, one of the most famous female swimmers of all time. The competition sees heats for the senior events in the morning with finals each evening. Some age group races highlight the action each afternoon. Live results can be found here and look out for a Warrender report next week.
