Senior Swimmers Race Well at Burns MeetA group of Warrender's leading senior swimmers were in action in Sheffield at the weekend at the annual Burns Open Meet. Lewis Smith, Ewan Johnston, Ross Johnston, Kyle Goodfellow, Craig Purnell and Fiona Booth all took the chance to focus on some quality long course racing as the season now starts to build up towards the major long course meets in the months to come. With the group having returned to heavy training after the Scottish Short Course Nationals, personal bests were not easy to come by although Ross delivered in the 200 I.M. (2:14.65) and Craig did likewise in the 50 Free (25.60). The rest of the group all put in some solid performances and will now look to build on these at the Edinburgh International Meet or US Missouri Grand Prix Meet in mid-February.
