Warrender swimmer Lewis Smith and club Head Coach Ian Wright have been selected for the Great Britain team that will contest the 2007 European Short Course Championships in Debrecen, Hungary from 13-16 December.  Lewis will compete against the best in Europe in the 25m pool format over 200 I.M., 400 I.M., 400 Freestyle and 200 Butterfly with the meet forming part of his preparations for the Olympic Trials in April 2008.  Coach Wright will be adding further to his international coaching experiences and commented, "All international meets in Olympic year are very interesting to gauge where people are at in their preparations and this will be no exception.  After a 9th place finish at the 2006 European Long Course Championships, Lewis will be looking to reaffirm his position as one of the leading I.M. swimmers in the continent in Hungary next month."
