Stacey Whitelaw Youngest GB Swimmer at World Deaf Championships29 Aug 2007
Whilst most of us were having a well deserved summer break, Warrender's Stacey Whitelaw was busy representing Great Britain at the World Deaf Championships in Taipei. As a 13 year old, Age Group Squad member Stacey was the youngest member of the team and competed in no less than 9 events (including relays) across the five day meet setting several best times and gaining valuable experieince. Being selected on the team was a great honour for Stacey and it is sure to be one of many other such selections in the future. Stacey’s twin sister Hayley (also a member of Age Group Squad) and her family also travelled to Taipei to support her. Congratulations Stacey on a fantastic achievement!
