Johnston named in GB 2012 Training SquadWarrender swimmer Ewan Johnston has been named among a list of 115 swimmers aged 17/under from throughout Britain who have been identified by swimming bosses with potential for the 2012 London Olympics. A brand new training squad is to be set up this autumn with the aim of giving additional training and support resources for those swimmers who could be medal prospects in 2012. Names may be added or removed in future years but for the coming year the 115 selected swimmers will be provided with three training days at Lopughborough University where they will undergo a series of tests and monitoring activities to ensure they are staying on track for the home Games. Clearly this is an outstanding achievement by Ewan and we congratulate him on it.
