Swimmers prepare for GB representative honours!Three of the Club's top swimmers are this week going through their final preparations before they head off with Team GB to compete in meets across Europe. We wish them all the very best of luck and look forward to watching their results online.
Performance Squad members Dan Wallace and Craig Benson are finalising their preparations before departing on the 3rd July for the European Junior Championships, taking place in Belgrade, Serbia. The competition will take place from the 6-10 July and showcases some of the most talented junior swimmers in Europe. The boys category is for swimmers born in 1993 and 1994, whilst the girls are born 1995 and 1996. This will be Wallace's second year competing at this meet, in which he will race the 200m Breaststroke, 200m Individual Medley and 400m Individual Medley. Benson, one of the younger boys in the team will also contest the 200m Breaststroke along with his favoured events 50m and 100m Breaststroke. You can follow their results at: www.belgrade2011.rs
Junior National squad member, Scott Quin is currently undertaking a holding camp in Manchester ahead of the IPC European Championships which take place in Berlin from the 3-10 July.
