Glasgow lead after Day 1 of Warrender Meet24 Mar 2007
City of Glasgow took a 10 point lead into day two after some impressive performances throughout the opening day of the Warrender Annual Age Group Meet at Carnegie Leisure Centre in Dunfermline Saturday. Today's racing saw the 9/unders and 10 year olds in action contesting the 200 freestyle, 100 IM, and 50m of each stroke. Glasgow's leading competitor was 9 year old Georgia Callander who's three consecutive victories in the morning session were enough to secure her the Top Girl award for 9/unders. The respective boys award went to Alloa's Duncan Scott who incredibly cleaned up winning all six of the events on offer including setting several new meet records in the process. In the 10 year old category the Top Girl was Molly Redford of Dundee City Aquatics, while the boys overall winner was Craig Bowman from the Carnegie club. The exciting action in Dunfermline continues tomorrow with the 11 and 12 year old competitors.
