Two Masters swimmers from Warrender competed in the Scottish Masters 1500m at Tollcross, Glasgow on 13th November 2010-namely Robert Mackay (30-34 years) and Jason Kenney (40-44 years). There were about 40 competitors ranging from 21 years through to 69 years. The highlight of the day was Audrey Cooper (56) of Silver City who swam a Scottish and British record for the ladies 55-59 year age group with a time of 21:03.79. Carol Thain (25) also swam a Scottish record time 18:19.09 for 25-29 year ladies. There was also an impressive swim from Tony Morris (55) of Aer Lingus who swam 1500m in 18:57.08, less than a second off his best time, and Keith Dunnet (40, Silver City) won the 40-44 year age group in 19:12.07. For the Warrender competitors, Robert Mackay claimed a gold in the Mens 30-34 year category with a swim of 20:46.04, while Jason Kenney claimed a silver medal in the Mens 40-44 year age group with a swim of 20:26.88.
