Swimmers ready for annual Warrender Meet
24 Mar 2007
Whilst the world's best swimmers get ready to do battle at the World Championships in Melbourne, and Britain's best do likewsie in Manchester at the British Championships, many of Scotland's stars of tomorrow will be competing in Dunfermline at the 2007 Warrender Annual Junior Age Group Meet this weekend.

Over 350 swimmers will descend on the Carnegie Leisure Centre pool for two hotly contested days of swimming action.  Swimmers aged between 8 and 12 years old will be taking part.  The host club has the largest entry of the competition with almost 80 swimmers raring to go, but they will be joined by swimmers from 24 other clubs from across Scotland including sizeable teams from City of Glasgow, Hearts, Carnegie and Alloa.

Parents and supporters are welcome to attend and will be able to gain access to the spectator gallery for the modest fee of £3 for the day.  Please come along to cheer your child or the wonderful sport of swimming on.
