17 year old Dan Wallace has this morning made his GB debut at the European Junior Championships in Helsinki, Finland. Wallace, swimming the heats of the 200 Individual Medley, smashed his previous best time of 2:05.88 by nearly 1.5 seconds to finish in 2:04.40. The time, a new 17 year old Scottish Age Group Record, moves Wallace up from 17th place going into the meet to 5th place after the morning heats, with the semi final to come this evening.

The European Junior Championships host the best swimmers throughout Europe aged 17 and 18 for boys (1992 and 1993 born) and 15 and 16 for girls (1994 and 1995 born). You can follow all the results at www.helsinki2010.fi
