Hamilton selected for FINA World Championships
15 Jun 2009
It has been a huge few months in swimming for 17 year old Craig Hamilton. Coming off a great 1500m Freestyle swim at the British Trials in March, Hamilton was selected to take part in his first ever Open Water Swim in late May. Finishing a very commendable 5th place in the senior field, Hamilton did enough to be selected for the 2009 FINA World Championships in the 10km Open Water race. As well as this, Hamilton will also contest the 5km at the European Junior Open Water Championships and the 400, 800 and 1500 Freestyle events at the European Junior Championships in July.

It is a fantastic achievement for Hamilton to make his first Senior GB Team and we wish him all the very best of luck for an exciting summer of swimming!
